@ Fran.

Most scholarships you will be looking for are based on GPD's of 3.0 or higher. My #1 advice to you is to get your grades up in a community college, and transfer when you are at a 3.0 or higher. Student loans are backed by the government and are usually not based on your credit score. If you need additional loans (I am in the same boat) I am looking into sallie may and those type also. They still are classified as student loans, and bear in mind that most 18 yr. olds do not have the best credit also. Best of luck, hope to see you up there some day!

Most of these have bad links. I also am a 33 yr. old school student transferring to Lewis for Aviation. I did not see many chances for the white male to take advantage of these. This is a huge disappointment.

I was accepted into a small state college this year and I really want to attend. I have been working on getting the loans necessary to pay the tuition, but since my credit is not good I am worried that I may not be approved for the loans. Can anyone give me some advice on how and where to apply for scholarships?

That is probably the most extensive list of aviation scholarships that I have ever seen. Nice job. Hopefully future pilots will benefit from it and learn let other people pay for their flying instead of spending too much money to do it themselves...

Nice job!
