Hi i just read your article about flying scholarships for the disabled, i’d like to know how to apply and whether a scholarship would be granted to a non us resident. I’m English and live in England, Great Britain.

    Thanks Steve

    Dear Adriano,
iflyasa.com General Aviation and Flight Training blog is a free informational site. We are not affiliated with any flight school or any other flight training organization. However, to answer your question, I will definitely write an article about the steps required for a foreign student to apply and get admitted in a US Flight Training school, and I will try to do so within this week. Thanks for reading my post.

    Dear Steve,
I will reply back to your questions in a day or so. In the meanwhile, if you can elaborate a little bit more on the kind and level of disability, and the the eventual desired level of pilot certificate. In other words, why does the applicant want to learn to fly, pleasure or something more than that? Thanks for reading my post.

wat is te scope of getting employed in aviation industry in coming future probably as pilot

  8. iflyasa says:

    Dear Vicky,
First, thanks for visiting and reading my blog. Second, this is a great question that you asked, and I will definitely write in detail on this subject in the next few days. In the meanwhile, here is the answer in brief: the prospects of getting employed as a pilot in the short future (5 years) is excellent. Think about it, as people/economies grow, travel industry grows proportionally, both business and pleasure/vacation. Corporation and vacationers can afford to travel more. And I guarantee you that they will not be taking trains or buses anymore. More later.

  11. iflyasa says:

Yazan, yes anyone with at least a PPL can obtain a type rating, in most cases. However, some type ratings have restrictions like SIC only etc, unless you meet some higher minimums. You should check with the training organizations that provide type ratings to get the details.

    iflyasa,

I am a Student Naval Aviator currently training in VT-2 at NAS Whiting Field. If you are interested in putting up a link to my blog, I believe you will find that it gives a weekly portrayal of life in Navy flight school… (at least my life). Check it out and see if it is something you would like to add to your site. I am going to spend some time on my site tomorrow making a "Favorite Links" and your website is one that I will put on there. Thanks brother.
